Terms of Service

1. The service

Scoutr is an AI-assisted product discovery tool. You submit an idea, and we generate a structured report covering market signals, competitors, target users, and a recommended verdict (BUILD / VALIDATE / KILL). The output is informational and not investment, legal, or business advice.

2. Your account

You need an account to validate ideas. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity in your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Plans and billing

• Starter Plan ($5/month): includes 1 full discovery report per month plus 50 AI credits to challenge the report. Charged immediately on signup, then renews monthly until cancelled.
• Pro Plan ($19/month): includes 5 full reports per month, 300 AI credits, the iteration log (comments + AI reviews on each report), dashboard, and PDF export. Charged immediately on signup, then renews monthly until cancelled.
• Studio Plan ($249/month): includes 30 full reports per month, 1,500 AI credits (subject to fair-use limits), 3 team seats, and white-label reports. Currently available by request — contact tom@scoutr.dev to subscribe.
• Overage: any reports generated beyond your plan's monthly cap are billed at $5 per additional report.
• You can cancel any plan from your account at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal but does not refund the current period.
• Prices are in USD. Taxes are handled by our payment processor (Polar) where applicable.

4. Refunds

See our Refund Policy for details. In short: if a paid report does not provide value to you, contact us within 7 days for a refund. You can cancel any subscription at any time from your account or via Polar's customer portal — cancellation stops the next renewal.

5. Acceptable use

• You agree not to submit illegal content, hateful content, or content that infringes on others' rights.
• You agree not to abuse the service: no automated scraping, no creating multiple accounts to bypass limits, no resale of reports without our written permission.
• You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or compromise the security of the service.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Your content

You own the ideas you submit. By using Scoutr, you grant us a limited license to process your idea text through our AI providers (currently OpenAI) for the sole purpose of generating your report. We do not use your ideas to train AI models. The reports we generate are yours to keep and use.

7. Our service availability

We work to keep Scoutr available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, or change features. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes.

8. Disclaimers

Scoutr is provided "as is". The reports we generate are based on AI analysis and publicly available data. We do not guarantee that any specific business outcome will result from following report recommendations. Always validate with real users before making major decisions.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scoutr is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Scoutr in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You can close your account at any time by emailing tom@scoutr.dev. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, fraud, or non-payment. Upon termination, your access ends, but reports you already generated remain accessible for 30 days unless you request earlier deletion.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Argentina. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Scoutr will be resolved in the courts of the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. We will post the updated effective date and, for material changes, notify active users by email.
